Love has never been defined from the time man gave birth. It is because Love differs from person to person. Love differs from heart to heart. But actually the true meaning of love is to attain salvation before you die because salvation is complete love. Salvation is achievement of complete peace by means of self realization. When you are self realized you actually know that you are soul and not body. If you do good Karma you can easily attain salvation in the end. A single glimse of the ultimate peace inside you can give enormous joy. Love stories are great examples of that. Some people consider the meaning of love as having lot of sex before or after marriage. Such people havent yet experienced the true love in their life. So they consider sex as love.
